Established in 1927 Western Golf and Country Club rests conveniently between downtown Detroit and the western suburbs off I-96 in Redford. Nestled in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, the club sits away from the hustle and concerns of the outside world.

The centerpiece of our club is our 18-hole "Donald Ross Original" golf course that is challenging to the low-handicap golfer while remaining enjoyable for all others. In addition to the golf course, we have swimming, tennis, and a full-service clubhouse where we host numerous events and activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Fun, friendships, memories, traditions, and good fellowship are what our club is all about. We hope that you'll take the opportunity to come visit our club and see for yourself all the many reasons why your family should become part of the Western family.

Current membership classifications available:

CLASS A: Class A membership is available for men and women age 21 and over. Class A provides members and their families with full rights and privileges to all facilities at Western. Class A members enjoy equity and voting rights.

CLASS B "GEN X": The Gen X (Generation X) membership is available for men and women age 25 to 38. Gen X membership provides members and their families with privileges to all facilities at Western. Being an entry-level membership into Western, Gen X members have no equity and do not retain voting rights.

PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS: The Professional Business Membership is a non-equity Membership at Western Golf & Country Club. This membership provides businesses and their Designees access to all the Club’s facilities. Each Business Membership contains at least three Designees each paying separate dues, fees and minimums. Since the membership is held by the business, designees may be changed on an annual basis.

SOCIAL: The Social membership is available for men and women age 21 and over. The Social membership provides members and their families with use of the clubhouse, swimming and tennis facilities as well as access to the numerous social events throughout the year. Use of the golf course is limited and participation in the Club’s golf tournaments and events is restricted from social members. Social members do not have equity or voting rights.
